Today was Mallory's first session with Independence Farms this year. The weather has finally gotten warm enough for the riders and horses. Mallory has participated in therapeutic horse riding for several years now and thoroughly enjoys it. This was the first year that Hannah has taken an interest in Mallory's riding. Matthew watches for the first few minutes then finds other things to do in the barn (such as play in the dirt!). Last year's session ended inOctober, so it's been several months since Mallory has rode. She took right to her horse "Freddie" today like there never was a winter break.

Garage Sale

We had a garage sale today and boy did the kids have a blast! Matthew had a great time counting back change. He did have some difficulty parting with some beloved baby toys. Mallory was quite the sales girl. She greeted every customer and would convince them that they could not part with out an item. Todd and Hannah got out of the house while we had the garage sale. They spent the morning at the Abilene Airport for the fly in and went to look at campers.

Kindergarten Round-Up
Matthew and Todd spent the morning of April 25th at Kindergarten Round-Up. Matthew was excited to go to school. He impressed the staff by counting to 100. The best part of the morning was the balloon and cookies that he recevied after the testing. The sad part about testing a 5 year old for kindergarten is the long wait till August!!! Spring Program
Mallory's school had their second grade spring program at the high school auditorium this evening. Mallory has been waiting anxiously for this night. It didn't help that we bought her dress 2 weeks in advanced! Our little lady shined tonight. She was dressed to the hilt and was very excited about her jewelry that she got to wear. She constantly waved at her friends and family in the audience. This was the first year that she sang along with her class. She even had the opportunity to play an instrument. Needless to say we were very proud of Mallory.

Mal & Max
Birthday Girl!

We had Hannah's 2nd birthday party on the 6th at our home. Lot's of family traveled in to Abilene to celebrate. We had a BBQ and let the kids enjoy the beautful day. Hannah wasn't quite sure of all the attention. She was very shy whenever somebody mentioned her birthday. She received a lot of clothes for this summer and some pretty cool toys. Her Grandpa Frese was excited to give her a pink tricycle. It won't be long and she will be pedaling up and down the sidewalk! Hannah also received a swimsuit which she immediately changed in to and wore the rest of the day! As you can see in the pictures, she was pretty fond of the cake icing!
