Family Trait

During our recent trip to the zoo, I noticed that my beloved nephews have inherited the family trait.

Last Day of School!

Mallory's last day of 6th grade.

Matthew's last day as a 4th grader.



Hannah's last day as a 1st grader.

Back in the saddle.

Riding Season has started back up for Mallory.

This year she is progressing to using an
actual saddle versus a blanket saddle.

Each time she mounts her horse it gets a little easier.

She loves riding her horse.
Her smile is biggest when she rides.

The great thing about therapeutic riding is that it incorporates other activities and skills with horse riding.
Mallory works on strength and balance but also on coordination.

So.......even though we are back on the road almost every Sunday to Washington for riding, it is well worth it.

Matthew's Field Day

After a rainy, cold week, rain did not cancel Field Day for Matthew's class.  Clouds were amongst us and the ground was soggy, but the fourth graders prevailed.

He fiercely competed in the 3-legged race with his friend, Zach.

And, to finish the day off?  The tug-o-war.

Despite the weather is was a great time at the track.

Matthew's Spring Program

Matthew's 4th grade class had their spring program at the High School Auditorium.  He was so excited for this program.  They had been practicing songs on our country, state, and patriotism.

The class even wrote an additional verse to "Home on the Range".

The program was great and we arrived early enough for some prime seating.

We spent the day in Topeka for Grandma's birthday. 

Lunch followed by a trip to the zoo.

We attempted some pictures of the great grandkids which is nearly impossible to accomplish.

It was a great day with family.
