I'm Watching You Dad

Play Ball!

Hannah was able to move up to coach pitch ball this summer.
It's been an adjustment for all the kids learning to hit from a pitch versus the tee.  She is one of two girls on a team full of boys.
She loves it.

She gets excited for each game.  And she really loves it when I help out coaching.  She's been working hard on her throwing, catching, and hitting.

She just had to have some real ball pants.
So her Dad took her shopping and they brought home-  WHITE.
Every mother's worst nightmare.

It gets a little crazy making it to two games a week.
The season will be over before we know it and we will be wishing we were back sitting in the stands.

Camp 2012

Matthew and Casen went to their 5th year of camp at King Solomon Christian Camp.

Matthew really enjoys going to camp.  This year he got to stay 3 days and 2 nights.  The only thing he didn't like was the stinky bathrooms.  Oh the joys of camp life!

Hannah and her friend, Skylar, went for their first camp experience.

It was a 2 day overnight adventure.

The girls were almost giddy with excitement.
So giddy that Skylar's little brother, Sylis, thought that he might have to stay at camp as well.

The girls had to check out all the great, fun things at camp.

When I went to pick Hannah up at the conclusion of camp she was all smiles.  She told me as we were leaving  "Mom, I think I'm going to have to come and stay at camp EVERY year!"

More Horsey Time.

The girls and I have become horse show groupies.
We love it.
Dust, Heat, and Horse Poo and all.

How could you not love coming to these!?!
Especially, when you get to ride horses while you are there.

It's been good quality time with my girls.
And fun times watching our friends excel in this sport.

Dance Recital

This will be Hannah's 3rd Dance Recital.
She loves everything about dance.
It seems to come naturally for her.
And she does love to put on a show.

This year's routine was "You've got a friend in me"  from the Toy Story movies.

Every year the recital is held at the Stiefel Theatre.
It's an excellent venue.
Dance In Motion always puts on a wonderful performance.

Hannah has been improving on her skills each year.
It's exciting to watch her.

A lovely dancer.  But still the comedian.

Play Ball!

We headed to Salina on Saturday morning to watch my nephew, Dedric, play in a ball tournament.

We had some time to hang with my sister, Amber, and her youngest son, Cole.

Love this boy!

He wanted to "Pheeesh in da waaaater". (Using your best Alta Vista slang).

Hannah enjoys going to the games.  Hopefully she's learning while she's watching. Her first game is tomorrow.

Matt had fun at the game but the bonus was going home with Dedric for a sleepover. 

When I grow up.....

It's Hannah's dance recital week.  A busy time with pictures, rehearsal, and the main event.  I thought it was fitting that one of her last projects at school this year was to complete the following sentence-

When I grow up, I want to be a dancer.

Goofy.

Hannah never fails to entertain us.

Making Progress.

We have started our summer schedule for music lessons.
This means that every Friday lunch hour is spent running Matt & Hannah to Chapman for lessons.  I had debated on decreasing the frequency of lessons through the summer but the kids have come so far that I kinda want to build on that momentum.
