Summer Nights.

What better way to celebrate summer than with a fire and s'mores?

And so it begins....

Softball season is in full swing.
Hannah is on an all-girls team this year which has proven beneficial.  She has really stepped up in her abilities this year.

The season is still young but it's so exciting to watch these girls grow with each game.

Dream Night at the Zoo

Todd and I had the opportunity to take Mallory to Dream Night at the Zoo at Rolling Hills Adventure in Salina.
This was the first year that we were able to make it.
The weather was beautiful.

Mallory even ran into one of her friends from church.
It was nice to have some one-on-one time with Mal.
She really didn't take much interest in the animals or exhibits but she enjoyed the train ride around the zoo.

End of School Wrap-Up

Although the weather was dreary and rainy, Hannah's Field Day was a lot of fun.

Hannah and her killer throw.

Ms. Speedy Gonzalez

Smiling as she passes a boy in the foot race.

Looooong Stride.

Hurdles.

Three-legged race with friends.

Our little anchor digging in on the tug-o-war.

Love my little athlete.

Matthew participated in the 2 mile fun run at his school.
He was excited to run along with his friend, Zach.

Matthew and his friend, Mason.

In the home stretch of the race.

All smiles afterwards.

Todd got to attend Hannah's field trip with her
this year to Rolling Hills Zoo.

Can you tell that my dear husband is not the photo freak like I am? Not too many pictures from the field trip.

Mallory worked extremely hard this year in Middle School.
She earned the honor of participating in Night of the Stars.  Students who have achieved academic success, such as the honor roll, are invited to attend this event.  It is quite the affair.  All the students dress in their best and are chauferred to the school and then get to walk the red carpet with a staff member.  There is always a theme to the event and the kids have a formal dinner of Brookville Chicken.  Afterwards, they attend an assembly with an act performed by the school staff that is quite humorous.  The event ends with a dance.

Mallory rode to the event in a red Camaro
provided by Holm Chevrolet.

Mallory was escorted by our friend, Amanda, or as the students refer to her as Ms. Brock.  She is the vo-ag teacher for the high school and middle school.

Mallory loved the masks that all the teachers were wearing.
Matched her dress (from Aksent) perfectly.

Mallory thoroughly enjoyed Night of the Stars.
It will be wonderful incentive to keep her working hard for the next school year.
