Piano Recital

Mallory was enrolled in Beginner's Piano for her first semester of high school.  She had her first piano recital tonight and performed "Up on the Housetop".

Homework.

Hannah has a new helper when it comes to getting homework done.  Emma stays pretty content sitting and watching her sister work on her I-Pad.  This helps me out tremendously when we first get home in the evening.

Growing.

Emma is growing, her legs are stretching.
We had to finally retire the newborn clothes and move up a size.

On the Move.

Emma has managed to start scooting around her crib.
This morning I found her with body turned and her head pressed against the bumper pad.

Dad's Gotta Work (and Play)!

Emma has decided that her Dad is a pretty alright guy.
She has managed to wrap him around her little finger.  Tonight while trying to finish up some projects for work, Emma managed to distract Todd away for a little play time. 

Diaper Duty

No school today due to the ice storm.

Christmas.

One of the memories I have of driving past our home (before it was ours) was seeing the lit cross on the garage during the holidays.  Todd and I carried that tradition on when we bought the house in 2009.  This year, Todd & Matthew took the old cross down and made a new version complete with new lighting. 
Our Christmas Season can now begin.

Ice Storm and First World Probs.

We lost power this morning due to the ice storm.  With a baby in the house, we had to improvise this morning with lighting.

Softball has stolen Hannah's heart but she sure is enjoying her time at Matthew's swim meets. 

In the news.

Matthew is attending the Chaffee-Bradshaw art classes offered through the Arts Council. The newspaper ran an article on the classes and Matthew made the front page!

Going Short.

Hannah had several inches cut off her hair today.

Until she's ready to take care of long hair by herself, this will be the norm.  Much easier to take care of.

Summer Picnics

Summer has begun and so has the creativity in our house.
Hannah prepared a lunch time feast for two served picnic style.

Talent Show

Hannah and her friends performed at the end of school year talent show.  They danced to "All About That Bass" by Meghan Trainor.  It is also one of the dance routines that they will perform at their Dance Recital in June.

Piano Recital

This was Hannah's 2nd year taking piano lessons and boy was it a year of growth.  I was amazed at how much progress she made.  She had her piano recital and performed two pieces beautifully.

We celebrated Hannah's 9th birthday at the Frese Farm.

Birthday Dinner at Daimaru Steakhouse

This pretty girl turns 9 in a week. With Easter falling on her birthday, we celebrated early dinner at Daimaru Steakhouse (her choice).
