Best Big Brother.

Farm Girl.

We may live in town but we take every chance we get to expose our kiddos to the farm life.  Our friends hosted an end of softball swim party tonight and the bonus for Emma was the chance to see their "horseys" and "shickens".

King Solomon Christian Camp

It was a hot year at camp but Hannah enjoyed her 4 days at King Solomon Christian Camp.  Hannah scored a top bunk and was in the same cabin as 3 of her friends from Abilene.

Softball Recap

What a great winning season for Hannah and the Abilene Fury 10u Softball Team!  So much improvement from last year!  Hannah spent most of her time behind the plate.  She loves leading her team and defending the plate.

While we are sitting in the heat watching state softball, Mallory is enjoying some time at the lake with friends.

New Gear.

Hannah has worked hard all season to perfect her catching skills.  We rewarded her just before the state tournament with some new gear.

KAMS Summer Camp at FHSU

I keep finding myself wishing for the next milestone with Emma but after tonight I realize time needs to slow down. My baby is no longer a baby.

Swim Team

I am so proud of this kid!  He has worked so hard this year in swim team.  He has shaved off seconds on his time each meet.  He is swimming up an age level for his relays and is holding his own.  This may not be a sport that he loves but he definitely is a winner when it comes to commitment.  

Daycare Friends

Emma has started interacting a lot more with her friends.  With the warmer weather, they are spending a lot of time outdoors exploring.

Big Kid at Nap Time.

Emma is officially working on graduating to a nap mat at daycare.  Today was day 1 and she only slept for an hour and a half.  She also was successful at waking the rest of the daycare kids up.

Last Middle School Band Concert

Matthew had his last middle school band concert tonight.  It was one of my favorites!  It was held at the bandshell at Eisenhower Park.  It's been amazing to watch these kids grow in their musical talent.

Kitchen Help.

Emma got to stay at Jackie's for supper since I had to teach class.  Emma was quite the little helper in the kitchen..

Excellence in Band

Matthew was one of the students selected to perform a solo at the Wamego Music Festival.  This was quite the accomplishment for him!  He performed his solo, got feedback from the judged and earned a "2" rating of excellence.

We had a long day at the ball diamonds for Hannah's tournament in Salina.  The afternoon went smoothly because Emma made a new friend that kept her pretty busy and entertained.

 I had class this evening and Todd had to work late, Jackie pitched in and watched Emma for us.  Casen had his basketball banquet so Emma got to go along.  She had a great time socializing and making new friends.
